FWC / Four-Way Catalyst
Four-way conversion catalyst: Solution for vehicles powered by gasoline or LPG.
Special one-component catalyst that can remove particulate matter (PM) as well as CO (carbon monoxide), HC (hydrocarbons) and NOx (nitrogen oxides) from the exhaust gases of petrol or LPG engines.
The traditional TWC (three-way conversion) catalyst, used for petrol engines, removes CO, HC and NOx. However, new emission regulations such as Euro 6 also require PM control. The innovative FWC catalytic converter combines the functionality of a TWC catalytic converter with a particulate filter to remove all four pollutants in a single component.
